Officers from our Matrix Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop road traffic collision in Litherland last month.
At around 1pm on Saturday 24 April, emergency services were called to a roundabout at the junction of Hatton Hill Road and Sefton Road to reports of a collision between a car and a 15-year-old boy. The cyclist was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury.
The driver of the car left the scene without stopping or providing any details and enquiries are ongoing to find the driver and vehicle.
Matrix Roads Policing Inspector Stuart McIver said: “To leave the scene of any accident is a serious matter, and we’re keen to trace the driver to assist our enquiries, and speak to any witnesses to this collision. Thankfully the boy involved is recovering.
“If you were passing the location and saw or captured the incident or the vehicle involved, send any information, CCTV or dashcam footage to us and we will take action.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call our Matrix Roads Policing Unit on (0151) 7775747, email [email protected] or contact @MerPolCC on Twitter quoting reference 21000261791.
