We are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Liverpool on Saturday, 24 April.
At around 6pm, it is reported that a 17-year-old boy was riding his electric bike through Crown Street Park onto Smithdown Lane when he cycled past four male youths wearing black and grey clothing by the park entrance. One of the males is said to have pushed the boy from his bike, before another male in the group made off with it in the direction of Smithdown Lane Police Station.
The victim was unharmed but left distressed by the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing to reunite the owner with his bike.
Detective Inspector Paul Jones said: "This was a cruel attack on a teenager cycling through a local park on his new bike. He's understandably upset to have had it taken from him, and we're doing everything we can to get it back.
"If you have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area on 24 April then you might have something which could identify the offenders. Please let us know if you do, and we will sort the rest."
If you have seen or been offered this bike, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or captured anything on home CCTV or dashcam, please let us know via@MerPolCC, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 21000262429.
