We have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing in Anfield this afternoon, Tuesday 18 May.At around 4.20pm, emergency services were called to an address on Manningham Road to reports that a man had been stabbed. The victim, a 30-year-old man from Liverpool, was taken to hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening wound to his abdomen.Witness and forensic enquiries are being carried out.Following enquiries, a 26-year-old man from Anfield was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent. He remains in custody for questioning.An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact @MerPolCC, 101 quoting ref. 21000319814 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
