Third man arrested on suspicion of murder in Kirkby

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Kirkby on Sunday (9 May) have arrested a third man.
At around 10.30pm, emergency services were called to an address in Clorain Road following reports that males had entered the address, before they left short time later and the occupant was found unresponsive.
The victim, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he sadly died yesterday morning, Monday 10 May.
A Home Office Post Mortem has confirmed that he died of asphyxiation. It is believed to be a targeted attack, as the victim and offenders are understood to be known to each other.
A 38-year-old man from Old Swan has now been arrested on suspicion of murder, and taken to a police station for questioning.
Two men arrested yesterday, aged 32 and 34, remain in custody.
