An investigation is underway following the unexplained death of a man in Norris Green yesterday evening, Thursday, 27 May.
Shortly before 6.45pm, officers were called to Marcham Way following reports a man in his 40s had been found seriously injured in the street.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital where he sadly died a short time later.
The man has been identified and his next of kin have been informed.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and officers remain in the area to carry out house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.
Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: “We are in the early stages of an investigation following the death of a man found seriously injured in Norris Green yesterday evening, and I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
“Our initial enquiries suggest the man may have been involved in a collision, however we are working to establish exactly what happened and would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please get in touch.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone in Marcham Way and the surrounding area with CCTV or dashcam footage to please review it and contact us, as any information could prove vital to our enquiries.”
