Detectives have issued CCTV images of a two men who could assist with their enquiries following an assault in Liverpool City Centre.
At around 6.15am on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 August, a disturbance occurred outside McDonalds on Clayton Square in Liverpool. A man was struck repeatedly by a group of men and fell to the floor then kicked in the face. As a result the victim has suffered a broken jaw and was left extremely shaken by the incident.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible, and detectives have issued images of two men they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: “This was a dangerous attack and reckless attack that has left the victim seriously injured.
"I am appealing to anyone featured in these images, or anyone who recognises the men to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“This incident took place on Clayton Square over the bank holiday weekend at around 6.15am, so if you were in the vicinity at the time of the incident and saw anything, then please let us know.”
