Detectives are issuing an image of a man they think may have information that could assist enquiries following an assault in Liverpool.
At around 6.10pm on Tuesday 27 July, the victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted by a man at the convenience store where he worked in Walton Vale.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment on a serious injury to his hand after the assault.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out since the attack and officers have now released an image they believe could support their ongoing investigation.
Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: “This was a callous unprovoked attack on a man who was just doing his job. No one should have to go through this in their own place of work, and although several months has passed we are determined to find the person responsible and bring them to justice.
“We think the man pictured may have information to assist our enquiries. If you recognise him, or if you were near the store on Walton Vale on the evening of Tuesday 27 July and this image jogs your memory about any suspicious behaviour you may have seen please do come forward as soon as possible.”
