We have charged a 33-year-old man with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin and cannabis and selling or transferring a prohibited weapon or ammunition.
Gary Moffatt, of The Spinney, Stockbridge Village was arrested yesterday (24 November) and later charged with six offences: conspiracy to supply Class A controlled drugs (cocaine and heroin); conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug (cannabis resin); conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug; and two counts of selling/transferring a prohibited weapon/ammunition.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Thursday 25 November).
The charges form part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.
