Detectives have charged three men in connection with the murder of Patrick Boyle in Huyton in July.
Officers were contacted at just after 5.55pm on Thursday 1 July following reports 26-year-old Patrick had been shot twice in the chest in the street in Newway. He was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Three men were today arrested and have now been charged with the following offences:
24-year-old Ben Doyle of Lyme Grove, Huyton was charged with murder, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life
20-year-old Thomas Walker of no fixed abode was charged with murder, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life, possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of ammunition without a certificate
25-year-old Reuben Murphy of no fixed abode was charged with possessing a handgun, possession of a firearm without a certificate, possession of ammunition without a certificate, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life.
Murphy was previously charged with murder in September and has been remanded in custody since.
All three will appear at Wirral magistrates court tomorrow, Friday 19 November.
