We have arrested two people in connection with drugs offences following an incident in Bootle yesterday, Wednesday 24 November.
At around 9.15am, officers on patrol in Exeter Street sighted a vehicle in suspicious circumstances. Officers searched the vehicle and occupants and detained two people, and seized suspected cocaine and cash.
Both men were taken to police stations for questioning.
30-year-old Ian Riley has now been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Thursday 25 November.
A 42-year-old man from Fazakerley was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs and drug driving, and has been released under investigation.
