Police have, this week, arrested a 27-year-old wanted man.
John Hughes, of no fixed address, was jailed in 2019 for assaults in St Helens and Page Moss.
He was released from prison on licence on 27 August, which was revoked on 16 October.
Yesterday (Thursday 4 November), following extensive enquiries, officers located Hughes at an address on Shelmore Drive, Toxteth.
Following a short foot chase he was detained, arrested and taken to custody.
