We are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious fail to stop road traffic collision in Wavertree last night, Wednesday 20 October.
At around 10.20pm, emergency services were called to Picton Road to reports of a collision involving a car in collision with a scooter. The scooter rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for assessment of a head injury and is currently serious but stable.
The car, described as a white VW SUV, made off and enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV and witnesses.
Sergeant Steve Smith from The Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We’re keen to speak to establish the details and speak with the driver of this vehicle as a matter of urgency.
"If you witnessed this collision, or were passing and may have captured anything to confirm the vehicle involved, come forward and we will take action. I am particularly keen to speak with a pedal cyclist who was in the area at the time and witnesses the collision.”
