Detectives are appealing for information following a stabbing in Halewood this evening, Friday 29 October.
At around 6.40pm, emergency services were called to Beechwood Avenue to reports of a man in his 30s being stabbed and in a serious condition. He has been taken to hospital.
Officers remain in the area to carry out house-to-house, forensic and witness enquiries.
Detective Inspector Leanne Hobin said: “This is the very early stages of our investigation and we’re looking to establish exactly what happened.
“If you saw or heard anything or live locally and may have captured those responsible on CCTV, dashcam or other devices, let us know and we will take action.
"Your information could be vital in tracking down those responsible and removing them from the streets.”
