Appeal for information following suspected arson in Prescot

Detectives are appealing for information following a suspected arson in Prescot last night, Saturday 30 October.

At around 10.05pm, a report was received of an unoccupied home alight on Kenneth Close. There was extensive damage found, although nobody was injured and the reason for the incident is unknown at present.

A joint investigation is now underway with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) and enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV and house-to-house.
