A man has been charged following the recovery of a handgun in Fairfield on Sunday (10 October).
Just before midnight on Sunday, officers detained a man near Balmoral Road and later recovered a handgun for forensic examination.
Joseph Robinson, 22, of Hampstead Road, Liverpool was arrested and later charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life; possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate; driving otherwise than in accordance with a driving licence and driving with no insurance.
He appeared before Wirral Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 12 October) where he was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 9 November 2021.
