Man charged with sexual assault in Liverpool City Centre

We have charged a man with sexual assault following an incident in Liverpool City Centre yesterday morning (Sunday 10 October).
At around 2.30am we received a report that a male had sexually assaulted females on Church Street.
Officers attended and, following enquiries with Liverpool One security staff, arrested a man on suspicion of sexual assault.
Ashraf Leaemen, aged 25, of Crantock Close, Liverpool, has now been charged with one counts of sexual assault on three females.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Monday 11 October.
The police investigation remains ongoing and witnesses are still being sought.
