Statement on unconfirmed shooting in St Helens

Officers are investigating an unconfirmed report of shots fired in St Helens in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 31 October.
 
At 5.05am, a report came in of shots being heard in Wasdale Avenue. No sign of damage was found and no injuries reported. 
 
CCTV and other enquiries are ongoing, and officers remain in the area to carry out further searches and gather information.
