Man, 30, charged with firearms offences after weapons recovered in Garston

We have charged a man with firearms offences in connection with a firearms recovery in Garston.
On Monday 19 April police executed a warrant at an address on Earp Street and recovered a shotgun, a replica handgun and a machete.
Six men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Following a police investigation, yesterday (Thursday 30 April), Daniel Begley, 30, of no fixed address was arrested at an address on Brandearth Hey, Stockbridge Village.
He has now been charged with possession of a shotgun, possession of a shotgun when prohibited and possession of an air weapon when prohibited.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning (Friday 1 October).
