Man and woman arrested on suspicion of weapons and Class A Drug offences

We have arrested a man and woman on suspicion of weapons and Class A drugs offences.
Officers executed a warrant at a property on Lordens Road in Huyton, last night, Tuesday 14th September. During the search a large quantity of white powder, suspected to be a Class A drug, was seized, together with drug paraphernalia, a quantity of cannabis and several offensive weapons including a knuckle duster and machete.
A 21 year-old woman and a 23 year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of a class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both are currently in custody where they will be questioned by officers.
Knowsley community policing Superintendent Phil Mullally said: "We will always act on community intelligence relating to the distribution of drugs and the possession and use of weapons.
"The people who live in these neighbourhoods are our eyes and ears and I would urge anyone with information to come forward so that we can take positive action to ensure our communities are safe places for everyone to live, work and visit."
