Two men have been charged with drugs offences today (Thursday 30 September) as part of an ongoing investigation into drugs supply in Merseyside and beyond.
Martin Grant, 32, who was produced from HMP Hindley, and Liam Grant, 25, of Holland Street, Fairfield were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin), conspiracy to supply Class B drugs (cannabis and amphetamine) and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
Liam Grant has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 1 October. Martin Grant has been technically bailed to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 2 November 2021.
The charges form part of the Merseyside Police response to Operation Venetic: a national investigation into the use of encrypted mobile devices, commonly referred to as Encrochat.
