Officers and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service are currently in attendance at a serious RTC in Aigburth involving a car and a pedestrian.
The collision on Ullett Road, near to the junction with Aigburth Road, was reported at 9.45pm this evening
Ullet Road has been closed at the junction with Aigburth Road up to the Esso garage further up Ullet Road.
The road is expected to be closed for some time whilst investigations are carried out at the scene.
It is believed that the pedestrian may have been in collision with a Seat Ibiza and investigations are ongoing to establish exactly what happened. The driver of the Seat stopped at the scene and is assisting the police.
Diversions have been put in place and motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
We realise that this will cause disruption and would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding whilst investigations are carried out.
