Officers have arrested two people in connection with a County Lines investigation.
A 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman from Huyton were arrested yesterday (Wednesday, 13 October) on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A. Both remain in police custody for questioning.
These arrests follow a search of a property on Merseyside, where officers recovered an estimated 5 kilos of heroin and cocaine.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “This is a significant recovery and these drugs have been taken off our streets, where they can no longer cause harm and misery in our communities.
“These arrests are just one example of how we will work with partners regardless of where the offenders live, or where alleged offences have taken place – to remove drugs from our streets and arrest those involved.
“County Lines drug dealing exploits the most vulnerable in our society and I would urge anyone who has any information about this type of drug dealing to get in contact.”
Contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, call Merseyside Police on 101 or in an emergency always contact 999.
