We are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage in West Derby yesterday, Tuesday 5 April.
At around 11.20pm we received a report that a silver Citroen Berlingo reversed into a property on Hasfield Road. It was reported that the car drove away with a black vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and structural engineers attended to ensure the property was structurally sound and safe following the incident.
CCTV, house-to house and forensic enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible.
Detective Inspector Tony Roberts said: "We believe the car was deliberately driven into the house and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has any information which could help us with our inquiries, to come forward.
“This was a reckless act and we are extremely fortunate that no-one was injured.
“If you were in the area yesterday afternoon and saw a silver Citroen Berlingo being driven in the area, or anything or anyone suspicious, then please let us know.
“Similarly, if you were driving in the West Derby area and have dashcam footage, please review it and let us know if you saw anything. Information you hold could be vital to our investigation.”
