A man from Liverpool has been charged with drug offences and assault of an emergency worker.
Malik Murphy-Vaughn, 24 years, of North Sudley Road, Aigburth has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis) and two counts of assault of an emergency worker.
In April 2021 a man was seen by officers carrying out a drug transaction near Sefton Park, and while making off he knocked over officers in the process.
The man was detained, and following a search of a property officers found a substantial quantity of suspected Class B drugs.
Murphy-Vaughn was arrested and has now been charged with the offences. He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 18 May 2022.
