A man has been charged following an attempted robbery at a bakery in Prescot which took place last week.
At around 11.25am on Thursday 5 May, officers were called to an attempted robbery at Waterfields on Greenes Road where it was reported that a man had entered the premises armed with a knife and demanded money from the till.
He then left empty handed and no one was injured during the incident.
Connor Lunt, 26 years, of Dragon Lane, Whiston was arrested on Saturday 7 May and has been charged with attempted robbery.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at St Helens and Knowsley Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 9 May.
