A Liverpool drug dealer ‘atom-hawk’ has been jailed today, Friday 16th December, for his leading role in Encrochat drugs supply.
Kristopher Mason, 44 years, of Old Lodge Close, West Derby, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court to 13 years and 4 months for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin), and Class B drugs (cannabis).
Mason was arrested at Manchester Airport on 21st August this year, after being identified as the user of the Encrochat handle ‘atom-hawk’.
He was identified as the user of that handle thanks to personal information he disclosed within the messages, including addresses and vehicles linked to him.
He pleaded guilty to the above offences at a previous hearing, and he accepted that he had been responsible for conspiring to supply 17kg cocaine, 2kg heroin and 22kg cannabis between January and May 2020.
Detective Sergeant James Boardman said: “Mason’s Encrochat messages revealed his clear involvement as a leading figure in drug conspiracies that could have caused suffering to families and residents in our community.
“His messages clearly identified him as the user of the ‘atom-hawk’ Encrochat handle, which showed his involvement in conspiring to supply significant amounts of cocaine, heroin and cannabis, causing misery to the people of Merseyside.
“We know the destruction that drugs cause and Merseyside Police remains relentless in our pursuit of these criminals and to bring down serious and organised criminal groups.”
