Man, 19, charged with murder of woman in Kirkby

Liam Cain,  19, of Skipton Road Liverpool, has been charged with the murder of Courtney Boorne.

He was remanded into custody to appear in court on Wednesday 28th December.

We have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a woman was found in a critical condition in Northwood this evening (Friday 23 December). 

Just after 4.40pm, we received a report of a disturbance inside a property on Quarry Green.

The woman was taken to hospital but despite the efforts of emergency workers, she was sadly pronounced deceased . A postmortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death. 

The woman’s next of kin has been informed and a post mortem will take place to establish the cause of death.

A 19-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested by officers on suspicion of murder.
