Detectives have arrested and charged a man after an attempted post office robbery in Tuebrook on Thursday, 1 December.
At around 4.50pm, a man entered Tuebrook Post Office on West Derby Road and reportedly made threats and demands for money. Staff activated alarms and the man left the scene empty handed.
Following enquiries, a man was identified and arrested.
Arif Mian, 44, from Green Lane, Tuebrook has now been charged with attempted robbery and will appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today, Monday 5 December.
