We have charged a man with multiple thefts following recent reports of shoplifting in St Helens.
Between 19 November and 1 December, we received eight separate reports of theft from shops and businesses in the area.
This included thefts from Schooner Wines, on Concourse Way, Tesco Express, on Vicarage Road, and McColl’s, on Fleet Lane.
On Tuesday 13 December, we arrested and charged Lee Stuart, 33, of Fleet Lane, St Helens, with eight counts of theft and possession of a controlled Class B drug.
He is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 15 December.
