We can confirm that the 60- year-old woman injured in a collision on Brownlow Hill on Sunday 30 January has sadly died.
At around 2.55pm it was reported that a red Vauxhall was in a collision with a pedestrian.
Emergency services were at the scene following the incident and the woman was airlifted to hospital. She sadly died from her injuries yesterday evening (Tuesday 1 February).
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
A 31-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, both from Liverpool, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
They were questioned by police and have since been released under investigation.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing in the area.
