We have today, Tuesday 1st February issued a further appeal following an assault in a Liverpool nightclub.
Officers were contacted at around 1.35am on Sunday 12th December 2021 to reports a 28 year-old man had been slashed across the face inside the Invisible Wind Factory on Regent Road by another male after becoming involved in a verbal altercation on the dancefloor in the main room.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injury.
The other male is believed to have left the nightclub a short time after the assault.
He is described as being 20-25 years of age, around 5ft 8in – 5ft 10in tall with short dark hair and dark stubble and was wearing a black T shirt, a black bomber jacket and dark coloured jeans.
Detective Inspector Jennie Beck said: “On this particular evening an event called ‘Gorgan City’ was being held and we know that hundreds of people would have been inside the club.
“We also believe that a lot of people would have been using their mobile phones to record the evening and I would ask people to check their video footage to see if they captured anything significant.
“The victim has been left with a life changing injury to his face following this assault and we are determined to find the person responsible.
“Knives have no place on the streets of Merseyside and certainly not inside a nightclub. I would ask people to come forward if they have anything that could assist us with our investigation.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist the information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting 21000858161.
