Vauxhall man, 24, jailed as part of Class A drugs conspiracy

We have today, Wednesday 16^th February, welcomed the sentencing of a 24 year-old man as part of a Class A drugs conspiracy.

Kieran McMahon, of Titchfield Street, Vauxhall, who used the encrochat handle ‘limemace’, was involved in a conspiracy to supply multi – kilos of Class A and Class B drugs including cocaine/heroin and cannabis.

His role involved counting, minding and distributing large quantities of cash from the crime group’s criminal activities.

Featured in encrochat messages are images of large quantities of money (pictured) that McMahon would send onto the leader of the OCG. He was arrested when he returned home on a flight from Amsterdam in August 2021.

McMahon was jailed yesterday (Tuesday) for 12 years and seven months for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (cocaine/heroin). He was also sentenced to five years and four months, to run concurrently, for conspiracy to supply Class B drugs (cannabis).

Detective Inspector Paul McVeigh said: “Although no drugs or money were recovered images of large quantities of cash were taken from the data from McMahon’s encro chat download. It showed the part he played in a significant Class A and B drugs conspiracy.

“He is now behind bars for over 12 years and is just the latest to be dealt with as part of our ongoing encrochat investigations.

“We will continue to target the people involved in this type of criminality and would urge the public to come forward and give us the information to bring these criminals to justice.”
