Detectives are circulating an image of a man who may have information in connection with an assault in Birkenhead last month.
At around 4am on Sunday 11 December 2022, a man aged in his 40s was the victim of an unprovoked assault when he was punched several times and had glass bottles thrown at him by another man in Bam Buddha Lounge, on Conway Street.
The victim needed hospital treatment to a head laceration and was later discharged.
An image has now been obtained of a man who detectives wish to speak to.
Detective Constable Adam Cooper said: "This was an unprovoked assault on a man who was simply enjoying a night out. Thankfully, he was not seriously injured but went through a distressing experience and we are continuing to support him as we investigate. We're keen to speak to the man pictured who may have vital information to assist our enquiries.
"Likewise, if you were at Bam Buddha Lounge on the night in question and saw or captured what happened, please come forward and we will take action."
