Detectives have issued CCTV images of a male who could assist with their enquiries following a robbery in Liverpool city centre on Boxing Day.
At around 3.50pm on Sunday 26 December it was reported that five males approached two teenage boys in Williamson Square. The offenders assaulted and threatened a 15-year-old boy, demanding he hand over his coat.
No weapon was seen by the victim.
The victim handed over his coat before being chased to St John’s Precinct where he was assaulted again.
Inspector Ben Dyer said: “This was a cowardly attack on a young boy who was left very distressed from the incident.
"I am appealing to the person featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“This incident took place in Williamson Square just before 4pm on Boxing, so if you were in the vicinity at the time of the incident and saw anything, then please let us know.”
