Detectives have issued an image of a man they believe may have information that could assist with their enquiries following a robbery in Liverpool that left a man with serious injuries.
At around 10.30pm on Friday 26 November officers were called to a report of a robbery at a house in Old Swan.
It was reported that two men forced entry into the house holding a wooden pole and a knife demanding money from the man inside the address.
After searching the house the men stole two watches from the victim’s bedroom.
One of the offenders then stabbed him and the other struck him with the wooden pole resulting in the victim sustaining several injuries.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is now recovering at home.
Since the robbery officers have carried out extensive CCTV and witness enquiries and detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: “This was a frightening incident that has left a man with stab wounds and several injuries to his head and face.
“No one should be left to feel scared and unsafe in their house and we are working hard to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“If you recognise the man pictured then please let us know, as we believe he may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation.
“We would also appeal to anyone who was in the Old Swan area on Friday 26 November at 10.30pm who saw anyone or anything suspicious to contact us as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.
“We rely on members of the public coming forward to remove any knives or weapons and those who use them from our streets so if you witnessed the incident or have any further information please get in touch.”
