Officers in Knowsley have arrested three men for drugs offences as they continue to take action this #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek.
Whilst on a high visibility patrol yesterday evening (19th Jan), officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from a flat on Warwick Road.
As a result, the occupants were detained whilst a search was taken place where a large number of items used in drug distribution were located including snap bags and scales along with cocaine and cannabis.
A/Insp Paul Makin said “This recovery shows the importance of proactive policing and having increased patrols on the streets. I am pleased that a large amount of drugs have been removed from the distribution chain and I hope the public feel safer knowing these drugs aren’t being used in their communities.”
The three men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and for possession with the intent to supply class A and B drugs. They were taken to custody for questioning.
