We have charged a 61-year-old man with firearms offences following an incident on Prescot Street in November.
At around 10.20pm on Wednesday 3 November 2021 we received a report of a concern for safety of a man on Prescot Street.
Following a negotiation, at around 10.20am on Thursday 4 November the man was detained and a firearm recovered by police.
Donald Coleman, 61 of no fixed abode, has now been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in court this morning, Wednesday 5 January.
