At around 1.30am this morning (Tuesday 11 January) emergency services were called to a report of a man’s body found at a property in Wirral.
A man in his 40s had sadly been found dead at a house on New Ferry Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 59-year-old man from Wirral has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has been taken to a police station on Merseyside for questioning by detectives and remains in custody.
An investigation is underway and two scenes are currently in place on New Ferry Road and Egerton Park whilst officers continue their forensic and house-to house enquiries.
