A Sefton man has been charged with being in a possession of a firearm and ammunition after they were seized by police in Huyton last year.
Shaun Ventre, 23 years, of Cable Street, Formby has been charged with possession of a self-loading Beretta pistol and possession of ammunition for a firearm without certificate.
In November, officers recovered the firearm and ammunition when they searched an address on York Road in Huyton.
The firearm was made safe by officers and forensically recovered.
Ventre is due to be appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 4th March 2022.
