As #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek comes to an end, officers based in St Helens have welcomed further successes overnight.
Arrests were made earlier in the week which included 10 people aged 15 to 43 for offences such as assault, domestic violence, racially aggravated criminal damage, theft, rape, burglary, drug driving and handling stolen goods.
Yesterday (20th Jan) officers also carried out further proactive deployments around the area consisting of high vis patrols, open land searches, roadside operations, warrants and quad bike patrols!
During the open land search in Littlewood Park, officers recovered a knife which was seized. On the roads, an electric bike was seized for no insurance on Billington Avenue and a number of people were also stop searched in relation to this weeks proactive crime prevention activities.
Further arrests were also made during the day including a 30 year old man for being concerned in the supply of cannabis & production of cannabis following a warrant on Enfield Street. Another man aged 24 was arrested in a separate incident on Kendal Drive for being wanted since October 2021 for breaching his court order.
Chief Inspector Rob Budden said “It has been a busy week for the team and I am pleased with the outcome, targeting those who may have been committed offences in the past year and beyond as well as more recently. I hope this shows the public that we will actively pursue all criminals and although this week has shone a particular focus on Neighbourhood Policing, this activity is carried out daily and will continue throughout the year.”
