Police are currently in attendance in Bootle this evening, Friday 21 January.
At around 9.15pm we received a report of a domestic-related assault on Scott Street.
It was reported that, during an altercation between a man and a woman, the man had been stabbed.
Emergency services attended and the man is currently receiving treatment from paramedics for non-life-threatening puncture wounds to his shoulder and stomach.
Officers arrested a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding.
She has been taken into custody and will be questioned by police.
Officers remain on Scott Street this evening while CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are carried out.
