We are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Huyton yesterday evening, Sunday 17 July.
At around 7.50pm, emergency services were called to the M62 at Junction 6, to reports of a collision involving a black Mercedes.
Emergency services attended the scene and can sadly confirm the driver, a man in 30s, has passed away.
Sergeant Steve Smith, from Merseyside Police Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “An investigation is ongoing after a man sadly died following a collision on the M62 last night, and our thoughts and condolences are very much with the family.
"The next of kin of the driver has been informed and is being supported by specialist Family Liaison Officers.
"We would ask any drivers in the area who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward. Any footage, or information, could be vital in establishing what happened.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact SCIU on (0151) 777 5747, or email [email protected] with Log 887 of Sunday 17 July.
