Detectives from the Liverpool Child Exploitation team have today, Friday 15 July, charged a man with a number of offences including drink driving, possession of a controlled drug and child sex offences.
Following a report from a concerned member of the public, officers stopped a car on Edge Lane in Liverpool in the early hours of yesterday, Thursday, 14 July, which had two girls aged 17 and 15 in the car and the driver was arrested.
The driver, Mohammed Chaudry, 38 years, of Chester Road in Stretford, Greater Manchester has been charged with two counts sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, possession of controlled Class A and B drugs and drink driving.
Chaudry has been remanded in custody and will appear in Liverpool Magistrates Remand Court tomorrow, Saturday 15 July.
