We are continuing to appeal for information following reports of a hit-and-run collision in St Helens on Friday night, 8 July.
At around 9.30pm we were called to reports a female had been found lying in North Road.
Officers spoke to witnesses at the scene and it is believed that prior to the incident a fight had broken out involving a group of people.
During the disturbance a Ford Fiesta is reported to have been in collision with a number of people. The vehicle is then believed to have left the scene and was found abandoned a short distance away.
A woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s were both taken to hospital with head injuries and a woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with back and facial injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
A 20 year-old woman, a 38 year-old woman and a 46 year-old were all arrested on suspicion of affray.
One has been released on conditional bail, one released under investigation and a third remains in hospital for treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved.
Detective Inspector Lisa Milligan said: “We keen to speak to anyone who was in the North Road area around 9.30pm on Friday and saw or heard anything. This would have been a shocking thing to witness so if you were passing or live nearby and have dashcam or CCTV footage come forward as it may be key to the investigation.”
