We have arrested two women on suspicion of Class A and B drug offences.
Officers on patrol in Page Moss Lane in Huyton at just after midnight today (Friday) followed a vehicle onto a nearby estate and then stop-searched a woman who was seen walking away.
A quantity of Class A drugs and a large amount of cash was recovered. A 37 year-old woman was arrested.
Following the arrest a search was carried out at a property in Huyton and officers recovered a large quantity of suspected drugs and drugs paraphernalia together with a multiple sim cards.
A second woman, aged 39, who was present in the property, was also detained.
The 37 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine) and possession of methylamphetamine.
The 39 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply methylamphetamine, possession of a Class A drug (cocaine) and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin) and Class B drugs (cannabis).
Both women are currently in custody.
