We are appealing for information after a 12-year-old girl was involved in a collision in Liverpool this afternoon (Tuesday 7 June).
At around 3.30pm officers were called to a report that a girl was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes van after she got off a bus on Princess Drive.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and the girl was then taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
The driver of the van is assisting police with enquiries into the incident.
Princess Drive, Lordes Road, Liverpool Road and Gretton Road are closed whilst emergency services remain at the scene and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
