We have charged a 16-year-old following a firearms recovery in Old Swan this weekend.
At around 4.35pm on Saturday 18 June officers executed a warrant at an address at The Beechwalk, off Queen’s Drive.
A firearm was recovered at the address.
Four males, aged 68, 16, 16 and 13, all from Liverpool, were detained and arrested on suspicion of possession of a Section 5 Firearm.
A 16-year-old male has now been charged with possession of a firearm without a certificate, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Merseyside Youth Remand Court this morning, Wednesday 22 June.
The 68-year-old and 16-year-old have been bailed with conditions as our enquiries continue.
The 13-year-old has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
