We have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Criminal Property.
Officers working on Project Medusa were deployed to the Birkenhead area yesterday, Wednesday 8th June, where they identified two people who were searched.
A 27 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman, both from the Liverpool area, were arrested for drugs supply and possession of Criminal Property and remain in custody where they will be questioned by officers.
A search was also carried out a house in Kensington.
A quantity of cash, suspected drugs and mobile phones have been seized and will be taken away for forensic examination.
Sergeant Craig Evans said: “We know that drug dealing is a blight on our communities and we will relentlessly pursue those people responsible. I would continue to urge people to come forward if they have information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood.”
