We have this evening, Thursday 2nd June, charged a man with two counts of attempted robbery.
Adam Gilbert, 36, of no fixed abode but originally from the Bootle area, was also charged with two counts of possession of an imitation firearm and one count of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.
The charges relate to an incident at the Halifax bank in Bootle Strand shopping centre on Monday 30th May and an incident at a post office in Netherton on Wednesday 1st June.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool City Magistrates Court on 3rd June 2022.
