Update: Man, 25, arrested following incident in Kirkby

We have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent following an incident in Kirkby.
Just before 9.30pm on Sunday 23 May officers were made aware of an incident on Aldford Road near to the junction of Rockford Avenue in which a male cyclists, who is in is 20s, was reportedly hit by a car.
The 25-year-old, who is from the Kirkby area, has been released under investigation in relation to the incident.
The cyclist remains in hospital.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
